Beginner Fencing (8 to 18 Years)
- Discover the Olympic sport of Fencing
- Introduction to history of fencing, weapons, target areas and fencing technique
- Teaches competition, respect and self-discipline
- Equipment provided
- This is a split instruction in tandem with Adult Fencing
- Location: Buchanan Park Recreation Center
Progressive Fencing (8 to 18 Years)
- Continuation courses (progressive) focus on learning new fencing skills, such as:
- Advanced footwork
- Bouts with electric equipment
- Fencing strategy
- Rules and regulations
- Other offensive and defensive fencing techniques
- These classes prepare fencers for local tournaments
- This is a split instruction in tandem with Adult Fencing
