Adopt-A-Park

The Adopt-A-Park Program offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals, groups, and organizations to contribute to the beautification of local parks. By participating, you can help make a lasting impact on your community and provide safe, clean places for people, especially children, to enjoy. The program offers a rewarding way to stay involved in your community while helping to preserve and maintain the local parks. Interested? Just follow the steps to apply!
- Protect & preserve Evergreen – Play a role in maintaining the park’s health.
- Provide safe spaces for children – Give Evergreen’s youth areas to play and explore.
- Ensure public land is accessible – Make the parks more enjoyable and accessible for everyone.
- Make an immediate impact – Your actions will have a visible and immediate effect on the community.
This program is open to various groups, including:
- Businesses
- Individuals
- Families
- Faith-Based Groups
- Youth Groups
- Schools
- Scout Troops
- Sports Teams
- Commitment: Adopters must monitor the adopted park for one year, ensuring litter control and participating in a minimum two cleanups during the months of April through October as weather permits. Each cleanup should be a minimum of 2 hours in length.
- First-Come, First-Served: Adoption is based on availability, with returning adopters having the first right of refusal for the following year.
- No Modifications: You cannot alter the landscape or design of the park.
- Group Leader: A designated group leader is needed to handle communication with the Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD).
- Safety: Participants must sign an Informed Consent & Release Form, and volunteers under 18 need adult supervision.
- Provide Your Own Supplies: Adopters are responsible for providing materials such as gloves, bags, and pickers.
- Signage: Adopters will be recognized with a sign posted at the park (no additional advertising allowed).
- Trash Disposal: EPRD will handle the disposal of excess trash if necessary.
- Legal Compliance: Adopters must comply with all relevant laws and EPRD Park Rules and Regulations.
- Keep Recycling Proceeds: Any materials with recyclable value found during cleanups can be kept by the adopting group.
- A sign with your organizations logo and name will be posted within the park until the following spring season.
- You'll also receive a Certificate of Appreciation.

- 6 social media posts throughout the year.
- A shout-out in 2 monthly newsletters.
- Thank you in the quarterly Good News Newsletter.
- Complete the application below.
- After confirmation, you will receive an Adoption Packet with all necessary documents.
- Once you sign the required agreements, you’re ready to start!
Renewal:
Adopters have first right of refusal for the following year, and EPRD will send out new agreements at the start of the year.
