Youth Weight Room Orientation

EPRD employees provide an introduction to cardio and weight equipment, including proper form and technique for maximum safety and effectiveness. Sessions are 45 minutes in length and may be scheduled with 4 people per orientation. Contact the front desk for more information at 720-880-1200 or 720-880-1100. Weight room orientations are also offered once a month with our trainers at BPRC and WRC for $10 per person. Must sign EPRD Code of Conduct during Orientation

Weight Room Rules and Guidelines

  • Please return weights and dumbbells to their proper rack.
  • Always use weight collars and spotters.
  • Please do not drop weights.
  • Please keep hands and feet clear of weight equipment when in operation.
  • Please wipe down the equipment when finished. 
  • Shirt and closed-toe shoes are required. 
  • Ages 13-15 must complete a weight room orientation or be accompanied by an adult
  • Children 9-12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
  • Please keep all personal belongings in the locker room. 
  • No food or drinks, besides water, are allowed in the weight rooms

Cardio/Weight Room Policy for Youth (9 to 15 Years)

Evergreen Park & Recreation District’s cardio/weight areas are available for use by patrons 9 years and older. For safety reasons, youth 9 to 12 years must be accompanied by a paid adult (18 and older). Youth 13 to 15 years who would like to use the weight/cardio area without adult supervision may schedule a weight room orientation or a private/semi private session with a personal trainer.
