EPRD Green Team Vision Statement:
The vision of the EPRD Green Team is to increase sustainability and improve environmental impacts of EPRD activities, events, and facilities.
In Progress Green Team Initiatives:
- Delamping bulbs, installing motion sensors and switching to LED light bulbs to reduce energy usage throughout facilities.
- Scheduling EverCLEAN community cleanup events to give back to Evergreen residents and parks.
- Working with partners to create consistency in trash and recycling practices to improve recycling efforts in the community.
- Partnering with CSU's Impact MBA program to host a Sustainability Intern whose focus will be to support Green Team initiatives.
- Implementing smart power strips to reduce energy consumption in facilities.
EPRD is now recognized as a Certified Green Business
We are thrilled to announce that Evergreen Park & Recreation District has been awarded Bronze Level certification status by the Colorado Green Business Network of the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment!
This recognition highlights our commitment to sustainability and our efforts to contribute to a greener future in Evergreen and the state of Colorado. Together, we are taking strides towards a more sustainable community, and we couldn't be prouder of the work our team has done to achieve this milestone.

JOIN US! EPRD Green Team is looking for partners this summer to help perk up our parks!
Is your organization looking to do some team building that gives back to your community? Have a club that is passionate about wildlife and the outdoors?
From May through October 2024, we are looking for partners to host monthly litter clean-ups and basic park improvement projects around the District where community volunteers can participate in keeping Evergreen’s parks beautiful! Register to support one or multiple clean ups. These events will be open to the public for volunteers to come support. Cleanup materials and tools will be provided.
