Memorial Bench Program
Commemorate a Special Person, Group or Event in Your Life.
Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD) offers you a unique opportunity to memorialize special individuals or to celebrate evetns such as birth, weddings, anniversaries, and community service. You can make a meaningful and useful donation to the community while also making a lasting tribute to a person or event.
There are several bench locations throughout the community including Graham Park, Stagecoach Park, Kittredge Park, Arrowhead Park, Buchanan Park and Marshdale Park. A representative from EPRD's Park Operations staff will meet you at one of our parks to review the benches and locations available.
It generally takes 2-4 weeks to order a plaque. You are allowed up to four lines of information engraved on the plaque. Plaque size is 5" width x 3" height. EPRD will work with you to make sure all information conforms to EPRD's plaque guidelines.
Memorial benches are owned and maintained by the District. Minor vandalism will be removed or re-painted. If the plaque is destroyed beyond the District's control, the District will make every effort to replace the damaged item, but this is not guaranteed.
Please keep in mind that park benches have a lifespan of around 8-10 years. We do our best to repair and upkeep but once a bench has served its lifespan it will be removed and not replaced.
Please contact Joey Purmort at jpurmort@eprdco.gov or 720.880.1015 to further discuss he details regarding our guidelines for this program. We look forward to working with you.
