Gymnastics FAQs

What class should I sign my child up for? 

Our classes are skill based not aged based except for preschool 

If your child is new to EPRD gymnastics, we would be happy to schedule an evaluation to see which class suits your child’s skills and ability.

  • Parent & Tot 2–3+ (a get ready for preschool class)
  • Mini tots for 3 year-olds, (recommended that you take a parent & tot class before mini tots)
  • Mighty tots for 4 year-olds 
  • Kinderkids for 5–6 year-olds
  • Hot shots 4-6 year-olds (by invitation only)
  • Beginner boys & girls ages 6 & up (fundamental gymnastics skills)
  • Intermediate 6 & up (must complete beginner evaluation or instructor approval to move to intermediate)
  • Advanced 6 & up (must complete intermediate evaluation or instructor approval to move to advanced - A great class for girls who do not want to compete, yet wants to continue learning and building skills.
  • PreTeam 6 & up (Girls who have completed intermediate and/or advanced evaluations or instructor approval and wants to train to compete)
When are class evaluations? 

Evaluations are performed in approximately April and October.

When can my child join PreTeam? 

After completing an intermediate or advanced evaluation and received 2 on skills or by invitation.

When can my child join team? 

Team try outs are held in December or call office with questions 720-880-1223.

How can I withdraw or transfer from a class? 

Contact gymnastics office and we will email you a transfer/withdraw form for a refund. We must have form on file. 

Can I get a refund for my class? 
  • Refunds are granted if you cancel at least a week before classes begin. 
  • There is a $5.00 processing fee for any class changes or cancelations. 
Should I sign up for the waiting list if class is full? 

YES, please sign up for the waiting list. We do our best to get everyone into classes. This information also helps us plan for more classes if required.

How can I be sure that my child doesn’t get closed out of their favorite class? 

We encourage you to sign up for auto pay in August - May. This will give you a better chance of getting into your class of choice each session.

Should I call or email the office if my child will be absent? 

Yes please, we spend a lot of time planning and prepping for classes.

Can I make-up in another class if my child misses a class? 
  • We do not allow make-ups in another class because our classes are full.
  • Missed classes can be made up in open gyms.
  • Tot Tumble Time ages 5 & under 
  • Open gym ages 6 & up or 10 & up
How do I pay for a drop- in class? 

Please pay at front desk.

Can an older sibling join tumble bugs or tot tumble time? 

If child is old enough and you feel comfortable, they can sit in balcony and watch.

How do I know when class registration opens up? 
  • Check website for updates
  • Our office will email a reminder to our registered students. 
What should my child wear for gymnastics class? 
  • Please dress in a leotard or fitted athletic clothing (loose clothing can be a hinderance)
  • No buttons or zippers
  • Wear hair tied back and out of face. Please bring hair ties. 
  • No socks or jewelry
