INSPIRE Alumni passes Bar Exam: Reggie Dickhoff

Former INSPIRE Participant Passes Bar Exam: Reggie

Reggie Dickhoff, a former INSPIRE program participant, recently passed the Bar Exam and was sworn in as a lawyer! Reggie attended the INSPIRE program during elementary school, where he recalls some of his best memories such as skiing his first blue slope, watching a fellow INSPIRE participant win prom queen, and leading the improvement project to increase the accessibility of picnic tables at Evergreen Lake. Reggie’s interest in pursuing a law degree started while taking a Water Law class as an undergrad. After interning with Senator Irene Aguilar, Reggie knew that law was the right career path for him. Maren Schrieber, EPRD’s Special Populations Coordinator, has nothing but praise for Reggie:

“Reggie is a highly sensitive and intelligent young man who has proven that perseverance, pride, and motivation will help you reach your dreams. His uniqueness and differences do not determine him. He is an amazing young man and I am so proud of him. As a young boy he challenged us, now he is challenging himself and as a lawyer will be challenging and changing the world for the better.”

An EPRD Love Story: Greg + Ann!

image2

It was a warm summer afternoon at EPRD’s Community Garden, when two employees said “I do.” Ann and Greg met by working together during EPRD summer camp programs, and quickly fell in love. The happy couple had an intimate ceremony in the garden, and then danced the day away with close friends and family! The happy couple is still living in Evergreen and working for EPRD! Greg is our Athletic’s Specialist, and Ann oversees our Preschool Camps. It’s pretty special to be in the presence of two people who truly adore one another.

Wulf Recreation Center Pool got a facelift!
Bob cleaning Wulf's Pool, which was drained in October.

Last month, what was supposed to be a quick shutdown to fix the WRC pool pump turned out to be a bit longer than expected. This gave our hardworking maintenance crew, Bob Kellogg & Mike Carpenter, the chance to do some much-needed cleaning and repairs that included power washing the pool deck, gutters, equipment, and inside of the pool; installing the new lift & circulation pumps; and applying 180 pounds of grout inside the pool. For more details on repairs, check out our newsflash here!

EPRD’s Aquatics Team, Jenny Bolduc, and Kevin Sullivan have overseen the extensive process and have worked tirelessly to ensure the pool reopened as soon as possible for our members to get back to lap swimming, swim lessons, and water fitness classes. We’re excited to see all of our members back at the WRC pool and we hope you enjoy the squeaky clean pool
