We are proud to announce that Evergreen Lake North Trail construction work is scheduled to begin by May 2023 and is expected to be completed in late 2023. Preliminary preconstruction potholing to locate utilities under the existing trail will begin in late March and will last 1-2 weeks. Construction is expected to begin in early May. The ELNT Project was created in response to the Spring 2016 closure of the trail along CO 74 on the north side of Evergreen Lake between Upper Bear Creek Road and Evergreen Dam. The project will improve bike/pedestrian connectivity and accessibility between Evergreen Lake and downtown Evergreen while fixing urgent drainage and stability issues under this critical trail linkage. Improvements to the ELNT include widening the trail, creating improved fishing opportunities and wildlife viewing, and providing for drainage improvements and bank stabilization.
