Colorado Rockies Baseball Skills Challenge

Free and Open to All Boys and Girls Ages 6-13!

The Colorado Rockies Baseball Skills Challenge is a FREE skills competition for boys and girls between the ages of 6–13 years old to compete separately against their peers. The baseball skills challenge program tests the fundamentals of hitting, throwing and base running.

• Location: Buchanan Park Field
• Date: Friday, June 9
• Time:Varies
  • 6 - 7 Yrs of Age: 1-2 PM
  • 8 - 9 Yrs of Age: 2-3 PM
  • 10-11 Yrs of Age: 3-4 PM
  • 12-13Yrs of Age: 3-4 PM
• All Age Groups compete for 1st through 5th Place
• Girls and Boys ages 6-13 years old (ages as of 8/19/23)
• Pre-Registration is not required. 
• EPRD Summer Campers are eligible to participate from 9 AM to 11 AM
• Participants can only compete in one local program per year

• No Entry Fee!! 
• Test your skills in base running, batting and throwing
• Separate divisions for boys and girls
• The top boy and girl in each age group from each local will advance to a sectional
• The top boy and girl in each age group from each sectional advance to the state championship in August  
• Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners at each level of competition 
• Win a local competition, win a ribbon. Win a sectional, win a medal. Win the state championship, win a plaque.
• State finalists and parents get tickets to the Rockies game 
• Age as of 08/19/23 will determine  eligibility—a birth certificate copy is required from the  winners of the  locals to continue  at sectionals 
• Finalists compete for the state championship!
