Ice Rinks are closed for the 2023/24 Season - Check Back Soon!
Evergreen Park & Recreation District operates public Ice Skating, Hockey, Broomball, Skating Classes and Evergreen Lake House events during the Winter season.
The Lake House will be open to the community Monday through Thursday 4-7pm in January and February subject to the Lake House private event calendar. Absolutely no ice skates are allowed inside the Lake House or on the Lake House deck area.

Ice Rinks are subject to close due to weather conditions. The Boating/Skating Hotline (720-880-1391) will always provide current hours of operation at Evergreen Lake's Rinks.

Public Ice Skating at Evergreen Lake - Currently Closed for the Season
Opening Day for the 2023/24 Season will be announced soon!
- Please check back often for schedule updates, or call the Lake House's Boating/Skating Hotline at 720-880-1391.
- Hours are normally Monday to Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM, and Saturday to Sunday from 9 AM to 7 PM.
2023/24 Ice Skating Season Pass
Purchase a Season Pass for 2023/2024 ice skating season. Skate admission and rentals included! Due to the nature of the ice, EPRD can not guarantee opening days/times or ice quality. There will be NO REFUNDS, TRANSFERS, OR CREDITS.

2023/24 Ice Skating Punch Pass
Purchase 10 ice skating admission punches for the price of 8! Punches can be used for all members of the family; kids ages 3 years and younger are FREE! Skate rentals are not included, but are available for an additional fee onsite. Punches are only valid for the 2023/2024 ice skating season. Due to the nature of the ice, EPRD can not guarantee opening days/times or ice quality. There will be NO REFUNDS, TRANSFERS, OR CREDITS for unused punches. PASSES MAY ONLY BE PURCHASED ONLINE.

Skate Sharpening
Hand sharpening is offered during scheduled skate times for $10 per pair at Evergreen Lake.

Skate Rental
Skate sizes for rent range from strap-on skates to men's size 16. Expect lines for skate rental. The rental fee is $10 per pair.
Group Broomball Rental
Rink, sticks, and balls are included for $150 per hour (Individual skating admission included for up to 15 people).
Ice Rink Rental
A portion of the lake skating area may be sectioned off for the use of private parties, hockey games, broomball, or other skating activities.
Please visit the following skating reservation link to reserve an individual rink at Evergreen Lake or Buchanan Ponds.
- The rental fee is $120 per hour at Evergreen Lake (Individual skating admission included for up to 15 people).
The Octagon Room at Evergreen Lake House is available for private skate parties ($600 for 90 minutes of ice skating and 90 minutes in the Octagon Room). Ice skate rentals not included. Parking is not guaranteed. Email Krista Emrich for more information and reservations.
Parking at Evergreen Lake House is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. There will be shuttles available on the weekends and holidays at Stagecoach Park lower parking lot (by turf field).

Learn to Skate Classes
Register online, at Evergreen Lake House, or at either Recreation Center. Always call the Skating Hotline in advance to check conditions. Do not drop off children for classes without being sure the rink is open. Please note: During class, Evergreen Lake will be closed to the public for ice skating.
Please arrive early to rent skates (included with class) and check in at the ticket window to receive a lesson ticket. Helmets are required.
LEARN TO SKATE - Novice (3 to 5 Years)
Learn how to stand, walk, and fall down properly on skates. The class progresses to learning how to glide and stop over the course of four weeks.

Winter Skills Hockey Clinic
Improve your skating ability while learning how to play hockey. Classes consist of drills in skating, shooting, offense, defense, and scrimmage.
Classes offered for ages 8 years old to 12 years old on Saturday mornings.

- Sundays - Coed Broomball (16+ yrs)
- Evergreen Lake will not be open for public skating during this time.
- Pick-up game style. Participants choose their teams on site.
- All sessions are coed.

Session Dates: Jan 7 through Jan 28; 3-week session (no broomball on Jan 21).

Adult Pick-Up Hockey(18+)
- Thursdays and Saturdays - Adult Pick-Up Hockey (18+ yrs)
- Evergreen Lake will not be open for public skating during the Saturday Morning time.
- Pick-up game style. Participants choose their teams on site.
- All sessions are coed.
- Prior registration is required for all sessions. No drop-ins are allowed.
Session Dates: Jan 4 through Feb 17; 6-week sessions (no Hockey on Jan 20).
Times: 5-7 PM on Thursday Evenings AND 8-9 AM on Saturday Mornings
Registration: Opens on November 30, 2023.
This annual family-friendly event is a non-alcoholic event held at Evergreen Lake on December 31st each year.
The 13th Annual Pond Hockey Championship Tournament is held at Evergreen Lake on January 20-21, 2024.

- To find out if we are open, please call the Hotline rather than calling either Rec Center, as it is updated daily.
