ACTIVE4ALL EVERGREEN FOUNDATION
Last Content Update:
The Active4All Evergreen Foundation is the foundation for a thriving Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD)! Active4All Evergreen Foundation enhances our community by funding:
- EPRD Capital Projects
- EPRD Program Scholarships
- INSPIRE Program
Active4All Evergreen Foundation is the charitable partner of Evergreen Park & Recreation District. The Foundation mobilizes public support and financial resources for the improvement of parks and recreational opportunities for all members of the Evergreen mountain community.
In 10 years, over $200,000 has been reinvested into the Evergreen community.
The Active4All Evergreen Foundation (formally known as the Evergreen Recreation and Park Foundation) was established in 1989 by the Evergreen Park & Recreation District’s Board of Directors. It was dormant for a number of years. But in 2007, the new District Board of Directors regenerated the Foundation for the purpose of alternative fund raising for the District.
The Foundation has provided funding over $200,000 over the past twelve years for:
- Bergen Meadow Elementary accessibility improvements
- INSPIRE and Scholarship programs each year
- Lake House Concert Series mobile stage
- Stagecoach playground and shelter
- Wulf Rec Center playground improvements
- Zamboni for ice maintenance
- And more
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation, and all contributions are 100% tax deductible. Support the efforts to keep Evergreen Active4All with your contribution.
Active4All Evergreen Foundation celebrates an Evergreen annual tradition each New Year's Day! People of all ages dress in crazy costumes or themed attire while braving frigid temperatures and plunge into the freezing water at Evergreen Lake. The Evergreen Lake Plunge raises funds for Active4All Evergreen Foundation which helps Evergreen Park & Recreation District's (EPRD) INSPIRE program, provide financial assistance so community members can participate in EPRD programs and activities regardless of their ability to pay, and money for EPRD capital improvements.
On New Year's Day 2022, over 177 people of all ages braved frigid temperatures and plunged into the freezing water at Evergreen Lake and over $20,000 was raised! Many thanks to the volunteers, sponsors, participants, donors, and Evergreen Fire Rescue for making this event a huge success!
